Warner Textile Archive
An Artist in Silk: Revealing the imagination of the nineteenth-century silk industry.

This award is given to survey, package, catalogue and digitise the museum’s earliest hand-painted paper designs and to develop an engagement programme exploring the artistry and expertise of nineteenth-century silk designers and weavers. The award includes a travel bursary to support student placements in the development of the project.

Museum of Richmond
‘Artificial Silk: From Kew to the World’: Workshops and Activities at the Museum of Richmond.

This award will support work with local students to inspire (through the history of artificial silk) contemporary creations exploring fashion, science and sustainability. The award includes support for the appointment of a specialist to contribute to the student project.

Royal Museums Greenwich
A Window into the Collection: A heritage and textile engagement project for young people.

This award is given to support the museum’s engagement project which aims to bring equality of voice to underrepresented communities; presenting stories and creating textile responses to the unique ‘Solebay tapestry’. The final artworks will be displayed outside the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre later in 2022.
