Nathalie Rothstein Award

In 2012 The Textile Society will give a one-off special award in memory of Natalie Rothstein, who died in 2010.

The award of £1000 will be given for a piece of critical writing that reflects Rothstein's interests. Her specialist field was the English silk industry from 1600-1850, but she was also interested in textile techniques, business ethics, botanical drawing, the business of being a designer and the curatorial role.
